Good morning! This is me being a cheekopeh and spying on you guys πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@huienloi told me once that she recognised a Facebook page as #obc cos she saw my moji. YASSS branding done right. I am my moji and my moji is me 😚

Sharing our loots from IKEA yesterday. I've been using these modular wardrobes for like ever. Since the day they were launched and I love it still.

Love customising stuff to meet my own needs πŸ’ͺ

Wearing my #girlboss shoes from #melissashoes today!!! Got a full day of errands to run so comfort is key but still gotta kick ass!

My day started out amazing already thanks to @sandydandy and my daily routine chat with @ivyyt and now that we are done with a spectacularly unhealthy Qiji lunch, we are gonna pick up our new helper for the baby at home 😱😱

Bralette Starter Kit πŸ’ͺ

We've been toying with this idea for quite long now and since we have the necessary logistics arrangement, I think we will be beta launching this some time tonight? πŸ˜‚

The BSK (Bralette Starter Kit) is basically a box of bralettes that are custom picked according to your size and preference. Combining the expertise of the OBCrew and your willingness to try, we will pick out a set of bralettes that we think are most suitable for you!

I posted about this briefly just now but deleted it because I wanted to be able to sit down and explain this in greater detail. πŸ’ͺ

But one of you girls actually messaged us on the chat to let us know that you'll be interested in giving the kit a try and I'M SO ENCOURAGED!

Cos the initial reason we wanted to launch this kit is also because we find that a lot of girls don't know which bralette is best for them and end up picking the wrong one on first try.

I think that just ruins the whole experience because like if you suaysuay get one that's not so suitable for you and you just stay away from bralettes forever, that's damn sian as well. 😟

So the BSK is the best alternative! I'll be sharing the details on our OBC Blog (link will be up later) together with the cost, return procedures and finer details as well. β™₯️

For now, maybe you girls can let me know what you all think and want to know more about!

The beta BSKs will come in a tiny box and will include a card that explains bralettes and what to expect from a bralette.

To all the old birds at wearing bralettes (@angieishikawa @ivyyt @ellenxxxo @modebeauaimer @tieponytail ) I'm thinking of troubling you guys to maybe write some bralette tips or your favourite thing about wearing bralettes to share in the Starter Kits. 😱 Not sure if it is too much trouble. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I know the box looks damn simple now but that's cos beta testing la HAHAHAHA. We will try to improve on design! πŸ’ͺ

I put up a small blog post on the OBC Blog ( or link from the OBC website) about the details of the BSK if anyone is interested! πŸ’ͺ

I know there are a lot of mixed feelings about bralettes because the hardcore support bra fans find them lacking in support and coverage, but no harm trying right? If you don't like it then send them back! At least you don't live your life wondering what it feels like to go bralette πŸ˜‚

Some of you girls have already messaged us on the site + in the comments below and I'm happy that you all think this will be helpful! πŸ’ͺ

HAHA so cute leh. πŸ˜‚ We will test run with a limited number of stocks first so that we will know how to improve. If you're signing up for the first batch, thank you! You have my love and gratitude 😚😚

Anyway, the BSK is now available for purchase on! πŸ’ͺ

And now that I'm done with work for the day, I'm going to go #taobao shipping for the house πŸ˜“ We have a huge ass dining table but no chairs πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Some thoughts on domestic helpers πŸ’

I kept thinking about this issue after picking the new domestic helper up today and I thought I'd just share a little of my thoughts on this entire industry.

Just to back up a little, my family has been extremely lucky and fortunate when it comes to hiring helpers. I've had a helper most of my life, because my mum was working till I was about 4 and needed some additional help at home.

So since I was a 4 till 24 now, in the past 20 years we've only had 2 helpers!

The first helper worked with us till I was in primary school and she eventually went back home (can't remember the reason) and she was replaced by a new helper that stayed with us till recently, when she decided it was time for her to go home and take care of her family.

I'm reiterating this story cos that's how long we haven't had a new helper at home (for 10+ years) and I can't really remember what it is like to have to onboard a new member into the family πŸ˜‚

My most vivid memory of our previous helper's first day was that she was cooking instant noodles in the kitchen and winked at me HAHAHAHAHA

They always say that if you have a young kid at home it's easier for the helper to assimilate cos who doesn't love cute young children right. So I guess that was how my old helper got used to us?

But this whole new recent maid selection process had me looking at the domestic helper industry in a whole new light.

Firstly, the selection process at the agency was a little weird.

I don't know how selection processes used to take place in the past la. But apparently now you can webcam the agency partner in the country of origin of your helper (our choice was Indonesia) and they will hold a video call for you to screen the maids.

So what happens is that they get the helpers to appear on the screen one by one. At this point of time, you don't say anything to them. It's really just looking at their face and deciding on whether you like them or not πŸ˜“

I find that a little weird….cos you're judging them based on their looks and HAHA. Idk.

The agent even said like "It's important ok. If you hire a helper that you don't like the face you will feel like punching her everyday πŸ˜“"

HAHAHA. Ok la fine but it was a little weird for the younger generation. I think because there's so many campaigns on human rights out there that this felt a little weird and a little like a scene from some human trafficking movie.

And when we picked her up today, she had to show us all the money she brought with her and also all her belongings.

Aiyo i felt my heart wrench when she took out a ziplock with coins and the agent made me count it 😭😭😭😭 That was all the money she brought with her and it consisted of like 5 cent and 1 cent coins plus a few hundred rupiah 😭😭😭

Plus she had to surrender her phone and passport and when the agent asked if she wanted to call home tonight she said no. When she asked if she needed off days she also said no.

I cannot even begin to imagine how she must be feeling. 6-8 months of her salary will be given to the agency to pay off the fees needed to bring her to Singapore.

And she can't even call her daughter. She will spend all day in a foreign land and house. 😭

I always imagine myself in her shoes and feel uncontrollably saddened. But I guess the best we can do is to treat her with respect and fairness and hope that she does the same to us.

I understand that as employers we open up our homes to a stranger and give them the right to our property and entrance into our lives.

But at the same time we should also remember that life doesn't deal all of us a fair hand of cards. And since we are more fortunate than a lot of other people, we should try our best to share our blessings and treat others with the kind of respect and compassion we want to be treated with as well.

Yes there are a lot of horror stories out there about helpers who steal, lie, cheat and run away. But that doesn't give us the excuse to be mean to another human being.

I think life is a give and take and sometimes it feels like we have a lot to lose when we're giving first. But always remember that the only people who really lose are those who hold back. πŸ’ͺ

And I think this is a good reminder in all aspects of life including business. We issue store credits before we receive a return and sometimes people laugh at us for being too trusting.

But I don't think that you will ever lose anything by giving goodness to someone else.

You might not get money, trust or something tangible in return. But you feel good and you inspire someone else to do good in return and that for me, is good enough πŸ’ͺ

/edit Stayed up till 4 customising kits and it's tiring but fun. πŸ’ͺ Really hope you girls will like them! 😍😍
