Hello Dayreverse!

I've been missing for awhile…I think I lost the mojo to write for a bit and got tangled up in designing web pages πŸ˜‚

But I think I'm back for a little bit to share some #obc #ourbraletteclub updates and also some of my latest #dayrehome #taobao #addtocarts

That's damn a lot of hashtags in one sentence πŸ™ˆ

On the OBC side, we just launched new stuff on the site yesterday and I even busted out my spare poofy tulle skirt for one of the photos πŸ˜‚

I told Daniel I'm gifting this set of photos to him as a wedding gift, to which he promptly replied…he can download from the website πŸ˜‚ #soromantic

But anyway, the new pieces are VERY VERY lacey and quite sheer but so so ethereal and gorgeous! If you're looking for some feminine and occasion pieces, must take a look!

My favourite part of this photo is….my lips πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I actually put on makeup for this. And I don't even show my face #dedication

I'm dreaming of the day whereby I plan launches well enough that I can actually find time to slot in a proper shoot with proper (super cute) friends as models so I can stop being in front of the camera.

I had an entire day of migraine after taking this shoot. #hardearnedmoney πŸ˜‚

I was very hesitant to put up this photo cos of my thunderous thighs πŸ˜‚ but I thought the pose was quite cute πŸ˜‚ #ownselfsayownselfshiok

But yeah, the Better Together Bralette actually comes with a super cute matching panty!

So to the girls who always ask me to bring in matching panties and to sell the bralette and panty separately, we've done it!

Also comes in sizes up to XXL πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

And my current favourite design so far, the Great Expectations bralette!

I am infatuated with the back design and the lace details. And also the colour.

Sadly, I was only able to keep the black one for myself cos one piece came with a detect (hole in lace) and I usually only get to keep the defected pieces πŸ˜‚ Gave away the piece I used for the shoot to a friend πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ #sopoorthing #pantyikeepdontworry

Btw if you wanna know what the front looks like, pls go onto the website ok? πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

Ok….that's about all our updates! But for more firsthand details, you can follow us (and me πŸ˜‚) on IG!

We also restocked the Dear Darling bralette in Black, Rose and White (new colour) so if you missed out on it the last time, you can take a look!

Moving on to the house…

We had our first official stayover at the new place last weekend because Husband Ng's buddies came over to play poker till late…so why not stayover right?

We didn't have curtains (omg curtains are so important) so makeshift ones from IKEA (we bought cloth and kiapped them at the window πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

Also can you see the little beached seal hiding behind the pillow πŸ˜‚

Btw I cannot emphasize on how awesome my ceiling fan is. It's the best purchase.

Daniel and I always have a problem because he needs the Aircon to fall asleep, while I can't sleep with the Aircon on the entire night or I'll have a sore throat the next morning.

Usually when we sleep at home, we turn on the Aircon and set it to timer for 2 hours and then the rest of the night we have the standing fan on.

I love fans. Daniel doesn't like it when the fan blows directly in his face. So a ceiling fan is the best option. But somehow the ceiling fan in my mum's home….is weak

So weak that we hardly feel anything. And it is so damn noisy and ugly πŸ˜‚

Our new ceiling fan is AWESOME. The entire night we had it on at speed 2 and it provided the best kind of breeze for sleeping hehe.

I was so pleased. I woke up in the middle of the night to check if the Aircon was on cos it was so cooling. Plus it wasn't noisy also. πŸ’•

Wtf I should become the 代言人 for this fan. I've been raving about it non stop πŸ˜‚

So anyway….I have a gazillion things ordered from Taobao cos…the house has all its necessities but the longer you spend there, the more you realise what you're missing.

For example in the above picture, I'm using a stool as a bedside table.

If you don't think that a bedside table is a necessity. Uh, wait till you have to live without one πŸ˜‚ I put plenty of stuff on my bedside table.

Like my glasses, bottle, phone, medication and air purifier/humidifier.

Hence, the first order of business is to cart out a bedside table.

I got these for the master bedroom and intended to get a cheaper one from IKEA but holy shit.

Even those flimsy metal ones (we used to own and would tip over if you filled the drawers with heavy stuff) cost about $60-70 nowadays. πŸ™ˆ

This solid wood one costs 199 yuan! Which is about $40. Not too bad!

It wasn't our first choice, but our budget is pretty tight now! And this is decent!

I can't share links on Dayre, so if you're in the #OBCHICK group and need any links, pls feel free to ask. I'm lazy to create another group and manage it πŸ˜‚

So yes!

$40 on hindsight is really cheap. I'm going to buy these for the guest bedrooms too I think πŸ˜‚

I also got the place to make my bedframe to custom make bedframes for the guestroom!

For those of you considering getting your bedframes from China, do take note that they follow a different sizing guideline for their beds so you usually can't get them off the rack.

If you find a factory that makes them, you'll be able to let them know the mattress size and have them custom make it!

The shop I use is quite awesome. Solid wood but the colour is slightly yellow after they oil it.

Also, uh their styling isn't great so the pictures are abit obiang but if you can see past the animal prints and at the frames, they are quite Scandi! Simple is good sometimes!

They quoted me 1500yuan/300sgd for my king sized bed frame in a different designs and only 510yuan/100sgd each for the super single and single beds.

That's a steal for solid wood bed frames!

But their metal parts are usually not very well done (abit rusty and bent) and the bed was a tiny bit squeaky.

But I think if it is your first house and you're still figuring out what works for you and what doesn't, this is a good place to start!

My old place had bed frames with bed ends and while it was nice to look at, it's a pain if you wanna sit on the edge of the bed to do stuff, which is why we got one without any protrusions at the foot of the bed.

Alot of couples invest in an expensive frame after they get married only to discover their likes and dislikes after.

I also bought a remote controlled curtain track for the master bedroom to use as a room divider!

We've been toying with the idea of having glass sliding panels as room dividers but we don't want to install tracks in the parquet or have top hung ones only. Plus, the sliding panels will take up quite a bit of space even when they are kept to a corner.

So we're trying out curtains for the time being! I think it's quite good la cos we have an entertainment area in the MBR.

So the track will divide the room into two!

Not efficient cos the entertainment space is in the middle of the bed and toilet tho πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But oh well. The 3m track only costs about 80SGD so I guess it's not so bad!

Just got to hunt for curtains now! πŸ™ˆ

Speaking of curtains, I got a set to try from this shop that had 8000+ reviews on a single product listing.

Holy shit πŸ˜‚

I've received them already but have yet to hang them up cos I'm waiting for Daniel and my father in law to get the tracks up πŸ˜‚

But once they are up you'll probably see them on my IG stories first! πŸ˜‚

It feels really weighty and good quality tho!

My bedroom windows are about 3×2.3m cos we wanna make them almost floor length. And it cost me $70SGD for the night curtains and the day curtains!

I'm not sure if it's considered expensive but my SIL mentioned that their entire house (4 sets of curtains) cost about 1k+ to make so I'm thinking it should be quite affordable la….hor? πŸ˜‚

Also getting some knit blankets for the guest room and master bedroom!

I've been using my mother's quilt (she makes patchwork quilts and bags!) for a huge part of my life so I don't really fancy thick comforters.

I think these knitted blankets would look quite amazing on the beds. 100% cotton too! So I think quite comfy la

They cost about 20-30SGD? 😊

Also considering this!

Seems thinner and slightly cheaper at $20!

Also getting these super simple study tables for the guest rooms!

At this point of time I just want to get the best value stuff for the guest room!

This table costs $30 wtf. It's the same price as my knitted blanket. Which now makes the blanket extremely overpriced πŸ˜‚

But yes! This looks simple enough. And practical enough!

Anyway, we're heading over to install our curtains and the clothes drying rack tomorrow so I'll update more then hehe. πŸ’•πŸ˜Š
