We’re going to Bangkok again! 🎉🎉
It’s been awhile since we’ve made a trip there, simply because we’ve been super busy and most of the time, we’re dragged on planned holidays with the family, instead of planning one for ourselves.
Actually this time….my brother planned this trip as well and booked the tickets and accomodation for us.
Daniel and I are not travel bugs
We don’t have the urge to travel (which I’ve talked about in my previous post called Wanderlust) and we are very happy being homely people who can spend the entire day being couch potatoes.
But it does feel nice to be travelling once in awhile!
Packing last night tho…I really hate packing and unpacking. 😂😐
And we’re here!
Starting off the trip with a cup of rose milk tea…which sucks 😂😂😂
I regret falling prey to the pink cup trap 😂 but ok la it is very GAO in rose taste 😂
We took a Grab to Siam after checking into the hotel because I wanted to have Inter for dinner.
Haha we wanted to go to a night market initially but decided to test out baby’s sleep schedule and if he could sleep outside before we headed out to somewhere further and it becomes a journey of no return 😂
Inter was the best because it’s air-conditioned and the food is fab. ♥️ Uh, I wanted to take photos but we totally forgot when the food came.
I was way too hungry.
Blurry photo, but I had to dig out ALL my midi dresses (realised I have more than enough for a 5 day trip!) because I hate wearing shorts in BKK.
My thighs and butt have sensitive skin so if I sit on dirty surfaces, they get rashes and itch. So I always make sure they are covered when I travel. Hence, midi dresses and pants are the best bet for me.
This nude/camel toned number is from Taobao!
It’s slightly tighter than I expected it to be and the top is a little weird in terms of fitting, but I do love the little pleated drop waist hem.
Not too shabby la!
I have this is both nude and orange because excessive haha.
I’ve also recently been more into eye make up, especially after finding out how to apply eyeshadow such that it works for my shitty monolids (that swallow up eyeliner and shadow).
These perfect cute eyelashes are also bomb with glasses so can I just say…I’m actually having fun with make up now?
Hanging out with a kid is hard
I keep forgetting to take photos because having a baby to manage (even though the baby isn’t yours) is super difficult can!
I don’t know how you mummies do it, but I definitely can’t.
Daniel and I have been having the kid talk way more often than I would like to have them. It’s funny how when we first started dating, having kids of our own was something we actually looked forward to.
But now that it is time, and it is right for us to have children, we both think that we might not want to have one after all.
Truth is, as selfish as it sounds, we are very very very happy and contented where life has us right now. We are at peace with money, job, each other and the life we’ve managed to built.
Having a kid will throw all the normalcy we have out the window and open up a can of worms and an endless worrying.
I’m not sure if I am ready for that yet.
Some of the friends we’ve spoken to want kids with no hesitation. It’s not even a question. It’s just the normal progression in life.
You date, get married, have children and then die. It’s as simple as that.
yet somehow, it isn’t simple at all.
Right now, I’m in my rayon silk pyjama pants and my humidifier on at full blast.
I’m feeling so comfortable, complex thought don’t faze me.
What a wonderful way to start the holiday!
